Hidy Ho Ho

This afternoon I've been playing around with Whimsy's  stamp set, Oh What Fun, designed by Deb Davis.

I needed several small images to be able to use the triple circle, scalloped edge card design and this set is adorable.

Here's what I came up with and a few instructions to follow
if you are interested in how to make your own:

The die set uses a double stitched circle, but I swapped out for a slightly larger circle to allow the cute Santa on the sled to peak through a little more.

At first, I didn't have the additional snowflakes ....
Honestly still not sure which I like better?

But with a list of close to 50 cards I need to make, I'm sure both will fit perfectly for just the right person.  Thanks Deb for such a cute and versatile stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by today and for following my blog.

Gobble Gobble Challenge

If you are a card maker and a blogger, you know 'It's Turkey Time'.
As I sat down today to craft, I found ONE Turkey stamp in all of
my collection!
This is the time of year I tend to make more cards of Gratitude and Blessings, but out came my one little turkey to make his challenge card.

I recently purchased a set of card 'TAB FLAPS' that I also wanted to try out today.
Here's what I came up with.

And look who's hiding inside!

These Tab Flaps are going to be a lot of fun to try out for hidden greetings, gift cards
and other images.

Thanks for visiting my posting today.  As always I appreciate your comments and invite you to visit my site, Not Just Scraps,  where I sell my cards.

Give Thanks Unto the Lord

Each month on Addicted to Card Making one of the challenges is called an 'Envelope Challenge', hosted by one of the members. Up to 15 slots are filled and envelopes are distributed with the same or similar supplies.  To me it is one of the best parts of this site to see all the many ways 15 women see these supplies so differently.  This is the card I created for November's Envelope Card Challenge.

The Whimsy image is,  Maybelle with chores by Elisabeth Bell, and the printed scripture from 1 Chroncles 16:3 were the two items I was allowed to add.  I used all the items included in the envelope.  The Whimsy image was Copic colored and die cute using Gina Marie Designs, Stitched Labels.  Thank you Cindy W. for sponsoring the challenge this month!

This image and scripture go so well together, especially during this fall season of Thanksgiving.  I encourage you today to stop and give thanks unto the Lord for the simple things in life, like apples and egg, like bare feet and pigtails, and the love and laughter of little children.  How blessed we are each and every day!

Thank you for stopping by today ~ may your day be blessed!
This and many of my cards are available for purchase on my selling site, Not Just Scraps.
